From culinary school, to food cart, to brick and mortar Fork and Spoon brings its authentic Filipino cuisine from the Philippines to Portland.

Erwina Barney, owner and operator, has made her dream a reality. Originally from the Philippines, Erwina immigrated to the United States in 2009.
She attended the Oregon Culinary Institute. Thereafter, she had opportunity to start a Food Cart business and operated from her mobile kitchen from 2012 to 2016 in the Beaverton area.
Going through her next business transition, in 2018 she shifted her business model into a storefront brick and mortar in the current Parkrose location on NE Sandy Blvd. As Erwina was discerning a restaurant name, her intent was to merge both her Filipino and American cultures, from there Fork and Spoon was born, as she said both cultures use the fork and spoon; but in different ways.
